Even though I try super hard to keep politics out of this blog, I think it's safe to say that we've been through the metaphorical wringer with what's happening in our world these days politically speaking. Without getting into any details, some legislation has been both proposed—and passed recently—that I find to be pretty questionable in nature.
Which is why I'm so pleased to announce that I recently heard about a legal decision that not only brought a smile to this little kitty's face, it also put a bit of faith back into humans (no offense but you've kinda screwed things up recently which makes me wonder what it would be like if animals ran the planet instead...but I digress). The legal decision in question is called the PACT act, which stands for Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture. The gist of it is that it is now a felony to torture or be cruel to animals (with the exception of hunting—which is another discussion for another day).
Bottom line, "under the act, a person can be prosecuted for crushing, burning, drowning, suffocating, and impaling animals and sexually exploiting them."
I'm glad to see that in spite of your inability to make decisions regarding other humans in a very capable manner, your judgment remains sound when it comes to us animals.
So on behalf of myself and the rest of my fellow animals, thanks,
Til' next time,
