Oscar here. I don’t know how you all spent your weeks but Doc Silverman and his younger daughter, Jamie got to spend the week on a none too shabby vacation in Madonna Di Campiglio (a town in Italy), skiing. I know, you must feel just awful for them.
Well, for those of us who have not had the pleasure of cavorting around the Dolomites, it’s a beautiful, quaint town, that you can see over there, nestled between the two pics of the gents in red and an adorable dog who is coincidentally, the topic of today’s blog.
Aside from interactions with people from literally all over the globe—Russia, Ukraine, France, Poland, Italy)—expected, there were also some surprise new friends made by the Silver people which were slightly more unexpected—dogs.
Dogs of all breeds, shapes and sizes. Poodles, Westie lookalikes, mutts, and on and on and on. But, the most memorable of furry encounters was by far, a Bernese Mountain Dog who hung out outside the Hotel Miramonti, which just so happened to be where the Silvermans were staying. The dog, aptly named Bernie, (coincidentally as you might recall, the name of one of the Silverman family dogs) was an adorable munch of a dog who waited patiently for his parents to swish and swoosh their way down the ski slopes each day to be reunited at day’s end over a glass of grappa. Lucky for Bernie, Dr. Silverman and his buddy, Rich, another HUGE animal lover, were more than willing to keep him company until then. As you can see above, they got along pretty well. Yet one more reason for us to feel a bit green with envy over their amazing Italy vacation.
That’s all I have to report here today. Just cute animals in foreign countries.
Til’ next time,
